Position Summary
DarkStar Intelligence, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data science and analytics, particularly within federal government environments, and will leverage this expertise to deliver actionable insights and solutions to complex data-driven challenges.
Location: Fort Meade, Maryland
FSLA Status: Full-Time

Clearance Level: TS/SCI with a Counterintelligence Polygraph
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced data analysis, predictive analytics, and statistical modeling techniques to solve complex problems and deliver value to our organization
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, along with libraries such as pandas, NumPy, or TensorFlow, to manipulate data and build scalable models
- Create powerful visual representations of analytical insights using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js, to influence strategic decisions
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand their data analytics needs and provide tailored solutions that support their objectives
- Continuously enhance data-driven strategies by keeping abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and methodologies
Minimum Qualifications
- Current TS/SCI and a CI Polygraph
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field, with a specific focus on applications within federal government environments
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and familiarity with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow)
- Demonstrated expertise in statistical and machine learning techniques, including regression, clustering, and classification algorithms
- Strong data visualization skills and proficiency in using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Data Scientist (CDS) or Professional Data Engineer (PDE), are highly desirable
