The Operational Restructuring team within Singapore’s Deals Advisory Practice, solve important problems that stand in the way of sustainable value creation, business recovery and growth. We offer restructuring situational skills with functional expertise (rapid value delivery, business planning, cost reduction, cash and change management) and industry experience to our clients. As the largest Deals Practice in Singapore, we provide faster growth, stronger capabilities, a competitive edge across the entire deal continuum, from strategy formulation, ops restructuring, deal origination, transaction support and finance raising, to post deal integration and exit.

About the role 

Corporates are under significant pressure to change their businesses and operating models due to the macro-economic and geopolitical landscape, increasing competition and ongoing revenue pressures. We are expanding our team to support the increasing demand from our clients across a broad range of sectors to transform their operations. As well as working with a wide range of clients, you will also have the opportunity to work with leading practitioners across the Deals, Strategy& and Consulting practice within the Firm. 

 

As a Senior Associate in the team, you will be working with clients on a breadth of operational restructuring assignments, including cost reduction, cash and working capital management, focused on identifying and implementing sustainable performance improvements. 

 

You will work with our team to assist in a range of assignments including: 

 

  • Develop, planand implement turnaround, operational improvement and cost reduction projects 

  • Perform working capital analysis and process reviews; 

  • Develop financial baseline and forecast reviews 

  • Strategic planning with business case and scenario modelling 

  • Establishing programme management offices and supporting operations; 

  • Help client management to develop and implement a turnaround plan to maintain stakeholder support 

  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and/or reports for key stakeholders 

 

The role will be based in Singapore but requires flexibility to travel throughout the region, with the potential to travel overseas, depending on client requirements. 

 

Essential Skills and Experience 

 

  • 3-5 years of experience of operating on cost reduction or transformation programmes in a range of sectors   

  • Experience in reputable consulting firm will be a plus 

  • A formal financial qualification is highly desirable but not essential (CPA, CFA, ICEAW or equivalent)   

  • Sound analytical skills (financial and non-financial), including strong use of Microsoft Excel; 

  • Report writing skills, including use of Microsoft PowerPoint; 

  • Solid interpersonal skills and comfortable communicating at different levels; 

  • Excellent verbal and written English; 

  • Willingness to learn about and participate in marketing and business development; 

  • A commitment to continued personal development; 

  • Proven project and time management skills; 

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in rapidly moving working environments;
