The Deliverability Advocacy Specialist at Sinch Email is responsible for ensuring optimal email delivery for customers using Mailgun and Mailjet platforms. This involves advocating for best email practices with internal teams, customers, and the wider email community. Responsibilities include resolving reputation issues, collaborating with deliverability services teams, creating deliverability-focused content (blog posts, webinars), working with the reputation engineering team on platform improvements, measuring and improving sending infrastructure reputation, and investigating and resolving delivery issues. The role requires strong communication skills, experience in email deliverability, familiarity with end-to-end email delivery processes, and proficiency in data analytics tools.
Must have:

Description

Sinch Email is looking for a Deliverability Advocacy Specialist to join our growing team! This role is crucial to ensuring our customers are happy and have the best delivery possible on the Mailgun and Mailjet email platforms. As a member of this team, you will be an advocate for email practices to teammates, customers and the email community, while resolving reputation issues on our platforms. What else does a Deliverability Advocacy Specialist do?

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with key industry stakeholders, actively participating in professional communities to enhance organizational visibility, establish thought leadership, and strengthen our company's reputation as an innovative leader in the field.
  • Represent Sinch Email at industry events such as M3AAWG
  • Collaborate with our Deliverability Services teams with the onboarding and ongoing support of their clients
  • Work with our Marketing team to produce insightful and engaging deliverability related content for blog posts, webinars, podcast episodes and similar
  • Work closely with our Reputation Engineering team to propose and develop improvements to our platform
  • Measure and improve the reputation of our sending infrastructure to ensure delivery rates are always within an acceptable range
  • Investigate, diagnose, and remediate delivery and deliverability issues by collaborating with customers, internal teams, mailbox providers, and anti-spam vendors

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in an email deliverability role
  • Strong familiarity with end-to-end delivery (IP addresses, DNS, SMTP, authentication, etc.)
  • In depth knowledge of ISP/domain-specific delivery policies, deliverability, best practices, and anti-spam laws like CAN-SPAM and CASL
  • High capacity for making swift prioritizations and actions as needed to support both our internal teams and our customers
  • Proficiency with data analytics tools (familiarity with Kibana or similar is a plus!), including using the data to analyze, report, and make delivery related decisions
  • You are proactive and self-motivated to identify and tackle problems; you are comfortable with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy
  • Ability to work with a physically distributed team and work a flexible schedule
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
  • Committed to learning and expanding professional and technical knowledge, and sharing this knowledge

The annual starting salary for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
