Job Description

This Engineering Manager role at Google focuses on enhancing the quality of Android's GPU drivers. Responsibilities include leading a team in improving driver quality, collaborating with developers to identify and resolve driver regressions, creating metrics to assess ecosystem impact, and overseeing large-scale project deployment. The ideal candidate possesses 8+ years of software development experience (including 3 years in technical leadership and 2 in people management), Android and graphics expertise, and strong problem-solving skills. Experience with game development and GPU driver creation/testing is preferred. The role involves managing engineers across multiple teams and locations, and contributing to product strategy and team development.

Must have:

8+ years software development experience

Android & Graphics expertise
Lead team improving GPU driver quality
Collaborate with developers

Good to have:

Game development experience
GPU driver creation/testing/debugging experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
Experience in Android and Graphics.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in game development.
Experience with Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) Driver creation, testing, or debugging.
