Lead the strategic development and execution of compelling live game broadcasts, overseeing the production crew to deliver a seamless, engaging viewing experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Make high-level decisions in directing live game broadcast, calling camera shots, replay sequences, graphics, and commentary in real-time.
Collaborate closely with the production team including producers, technical directors, graphics operators, and on-air talent.
Develop the overall look, feel, and style of the game broadcast to align with the network's brand and production standards.
Make quick, strategic decisions during the live production to adapt to changing game situations and production needs.
Communicate clearly and effectively with the production crew to ensure everyone is on the same page and executing their roles.
Review game footage and provide feedback to improve future productions.
Outline pre-production planning, including storyboarding, graphics design, and camera blocking.
Ensure all broadcasts adhere to network policies, FCC regulations, and safety protocols.
Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred
Generally, 8+ years of experience in related field preferred
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Expert knowledge of sports production workflows, equipment, and technology
Ability to work calmly under pressure and make fast-paced, strategic decisions
Creative vision and an eye for compelling, dynamic game coverage
Proficient with broadcast production software and equipment
