Job Details
Lead the strategic development and execution of compelling live game broadcasts, overseeing the production crew to deliver a seamless, engaging viewing experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Make high-level decisions in directing live game broadcast, calling camera shots, replay sequences, graphics, and commentary in real-time.
- Collaborate closely with the production team including producers, technical directors, graphics operators, and on-air talent.
- Develop the overall look, feel, and style of the game broadcast to align with the network's brand and production standards.
- Make quick, strategic decisions during the live production to adapt to changing game situations and production needs.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with the production crew to ensure everyone is on the same page and executing their roles.
- Review game footage and provide feedback to improve future productions.
- Outline pre-production planning, including storyboarding, graphics design, and camera blocking.
- Ensure all broadcasts adhere to network policies, FCC regulations, and safety protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred
- Generally, 8+ years of experience in related field preferred
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Expert knowledge of sports production workflows, equipment, and technology
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and make fast-paced, strategic decisions
- Creative vision and an eye for compelling, dynamic game coverage
- Proficient with broadcast production software and equipment
