  • The Strategic Sourcing Manager is a member of the Global Sourcing Team Play Doh and will actively contribute to the definition and is accountable for the implementation of the Sourcing Strategy and Supply Network for the assigned product category.
  • The Strategic Sourcing Manager leads the Operations Excellence and Productivity Improvements program for the assigned supply network and supports the Design to Value and Manufacturing Excellence initiative.
  • The jobholder is the key interfaces between the assigned suppliers and Hasbro, ensuring that we keep leverage in these complex and challenging business relationships and ensures the ‘one Hasbro face/voice’ in the multi-functional and multi-level relationship with the assigned suppliers.
  • The job holder reports to the Head of Category Sourcing for the assignment product category.

 

Key Responsibilities
 

  1. Member of the Global Category Sourcing team:
    1. Actively contribute to the definition of the global Sourcing Strategy & design of the global Supply Network for the assigned category.
    2. Accountable for the implementation & execution of the Sourcing Strategy & Supply Network redesign.
    3. This requires to think & act globally within the global supply network
  2. Manages the supply network for assigned categories:
    1. Systematically assess current and new suppliers with effective segmentation / tiering to ensure healthy supplier pipeline to support current and future category requirements and priorities.
    2. Lead the onboarding of new suppliers and ethical exit of others.
    3. Ensure Master Purchasing Agreements are in place and enforced.
    4. Ensures supplier compliance (Ethical Sourcing, Global Security) and facilitate implementation of Structural Corrective Action Plans (CAP.
  3. Supplier Operational Excellence:
    1. Ensures that the supply network has the capacities, capabilities, and operational performance to develop and deliver the current & future product plans of safe, sustainable, and reliable products/materials on time, in full and at competitive costs.
    2. Facilitates the competence development programs on Supply Chain, Product Development and Manufacturing with clear objectives and metrics.
  4. Supplier key account (strategic – value oriented)
    1. Prepares and leads the Joint Business & Improvement Agenda, Supplier Performance Scorecard & Business Review Meetings for assigned suppliers
    2. Ensures that proper Structural Corrective Action Plans (CAP) are in place to bridge any performance gaps and followed through.
    3. Establishes Supplier Account Plans to continuously improve performance, Operational Excellence and Productivity via Strategic Business Initiatives and Supplier Competence Development Programs.
    4. Escalation for Quality, Costing, Supply Chain Security, Ethical Sourcing, Legal, Finance to get priority from supplier leadership on case-by-case basis.
  5. Supplier integration in Product Development
    1. Supports the Design to Value and Manufacturing Excellence initiatives.
    2. Escalation for Development to get priority from supplier leadership.
  6. Supplier integration in Order Fulfillment
    1. Including >12M capacity management) & system cost reductions initiatives
    2. Escalation for Plan & Deliver to get priority from supplier leadership.

 

Requirement

  • Minimum 5 years of procurement and/or supplier management experience at an MNC with international exposure.
  • Master’s degree holder in related discipline preferably in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain or Business Management
  • Proficient in spoken and written in English
  • About 30% travel

  • External Impact: able to influence respectfully senior leaders at manufacturing partners, key suppliers, model-shops, toolmakers and test-labs to address their issues and have them take ownership to drive operational excellence in joint product development, supply, quality, compliance and cost.
  • Edge: strong negotiator with desire to Play to Win, forcing concrete actions & decisions from each meeting/discussion, willing & able to makes difficult decisions on people and external partners
  • Execution: Consistent, hands-on and pragmatic performer, consistently deliver on all Procurement goals (Operational Excellence, Product/Materials Costs Savings, Supplier Performance Improvement) and tackle any internal/external performance or relationship issues and proactive solve them.
