We're searching for a passionate Mid-Level Software Engineer to develop dynamic combat abilities for our game using our in-house visual scripting engine. We are looking for a passionate Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our team, with a focus on developing abilities for player characters and enemies using our in-house visual scripting engine, similar to Unreal Blueprints.

Description:

In this role, you will be at the heart of creating exciting and dynamic combat abilities, shaping how our characters and enemies interact and fight. You'll use both Unity 3D and our custom visual scripting engine to craft a variety of abilities, ensuring an engaging and balanced gameplay experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for game development, a strong foundation in C#, and experience (or eagerness to learn) visual scripting tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement combat abilities for player characters and enemies using our in-house visual scripting engine.
  • Collaborate with designers and artists to bring abilities to life, ensuring they are engaging, functional, and balanced.
  • Use C# and Unity 3D to further enhance and optimize the performance of in-game abilities.
  • Test, debug, and iterate on abilities to ensure they meet gameplay and performance standards.
  • Continuously improve and innovate on our ability creation process and tools.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure abilities align with the overall game vision and combat mechanics.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of professional game development experience, ideally with a focus on gameplay or combat systems.
  • Proficiency in C# and Unity 3D.
  • Familiarity with visual scripting engines (such as Unreal Blueprints) or a strong willingness to learn.
  • A passion for creating compelling and fun combat mechanics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to work closely with other disciplines (designers, artists, etc.) to achieve gameplay goals.

Base Salary Range: $106,000 - $159,000. The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
