Job Description

Luxoft seeks a Regular Android HMI Architect to develop and maintain an HMI for an Automotive Android Open Source Platform. Responsibilities include requirement analysis, designing and maintaining efficient C++/Java code, implementing performance and quality services, identifying and resolving bugs, and maintaining code quality. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of Java and 3+ years of Kotlin experience on Android, a strong understanding of the Android Application Framework, UI design, Android Services, AIDL, and Binders. Experience with design patterns (MVP, MVVM), Android Studio, SDK, Gradle, AVD, and unit/automated testing is crucial. This role involves working on a cutting-edge IVI systems platform for leading OEMs, utilizing agile methodologies and Automotive SPICE practices.

Must have:

5+ years Java, 3+ years Kotlin
Android AOSPUnderstanding
Android Application Framework expertise
UI design & Wireframes
Android Services, AIDL & Binders
Design patterns (MVP, MVVM)
Android Studio, SDK, Gradle & AVD
Unit & Automated Tests (JUnit, Mockito)

Good to have:

Car-UI-Lib dynamic integration
Android Automotive HMI experience
Knowledge of Android Automotive

Responsibilities

Development and maintenance of an HMI for an Automotive Android Open Source Platform

Participate in requirement analysis.

Design, create, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C++/Java code from scratch.

Implement performance and quality services.

Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and implement solutions to these problems.

Maintain code quality.

Skills

Must have

5+ years of experience in Java & 3 + in Kotlin development on Android

Good Knowledge of AOSP

Understanding of Android Application Framework

Excellent understanding of UI placement, layout & Wireframes.

Development experience with Android Services, AIDL & Binders.

Usage of Design Patterns on Android (MVP, MVVM)

Hands-on experience with Android Studio, SDK, Gradle & AVD

Experience writing Unit tests and Automated Tests using JUnit, Mockito, etc.

Nice to have

Car-UI-Lib dynamic integration

Experience of working on Android HMI for Automotive projects

Knowledge of Android Automotive
