Job Description

The Remanufacturing Technician in Tilburg, Netherlands, at Tesla's factory is responsible for testing, analyzing, and repairing non-functional components from vehicles and energy products (including high-voltage batteries and electric motors). This role involves following process instructions, schematics, and flowcharts to perform repairs using precision measurement devices, hand tools, and computer-based electrical test equipment. Collaboration with engineers is crucial for identifying failure modes, implementing corrective/preventive actions, and developing new repair instructions. The technician must achieve desired output within Takt time, adhere strictly to manufacturing instructions, perform autonomous maintenance and 5S at their workstation, and detect and escalate process abnormalities. Basic understanding of factory safety, electricity, and ESD procedures is essential.

What to Expect

The Remanufacturing-team in the Tilburg Factory is responsible for testing and analyzing non-functional components which are originating from both vehicles and energy products (this includes high voltage batteries and electric motors). The Remanufacturing technician will be exposed to Tesla’s cutting edge technology and is responsible to perform repairs on these components by following provided process instructions and follow herein schematics and flow charts.
Together with the engineers of the department, you are going to identify new failure modes, implement corrective/preventive actions and help develop new repair instructions. In this role you will use precision measurement devices, hand tools and computer-based electrical test equipment.

The Remanufacturing Technician works in a team and reports to the Supervisor.

What You’ll Do

Be able to achieve desired output at station within Takt; escalate when not possible
Strictly adheres to Manufacturing Instructions to perform their job; highlight any discrepancies
Capable of performing pre-use checklist for workstation(s) or tasks
Able to perform autonomous maintenance for the workstation
Able to perform and sustain 5S at their workstation(s)
Completes a minimum of 1 Take Charge per quarter
Capable of detecting abnormalities in their process and escalates to Sr. or Lead Technician

What You’ll Bring

Basic understanding of safety around the factory and as it applies to their job function
Performs Level 1 jobs independently within Takt after certification
Strong communication to explain processes and any issues that arise
Performs autonomous maintenance for workstations assigned
Able to use manufacturing systems according to written manufacturing instructions
Understands basic electricity and how it relates to their workstation and job functions
Ability to adhere to all ESD procedures
