The Opportunity
In the Senior Actuarial Consultant role, you will work as a member of the PricewaterhouseCoopers experts’ team. You’ll participate in providing advice covering Solvency II, IFRS, economic capital, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, company restructuring and risk control, financial modeling, underwriting, new legislation, and the efficiency of claims or reporting processes.

What you will be doing:
Actuarial audit support for insurance companies, evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes with supervision.
Review actuarial reports and assessments for technical reserves in compliance with different accounting standards with supervision.
Present findings and recommendations to clients and assist them in understanding the financial implications of actuarial valuation.
Prepare actuarial valuation reports subject to review and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive consultancy services that address the unique challenges of collaborating on local or international projects.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in actuarial science.
Maintain high standards of professional ethics and integrity in all work activities.
What we need from you:
At least 3 years of relevant working experience in insurance/ banking industry, modeling, actuarial or risk management
Educated to Degree level in economics or in mathematics or equivalent.
Strong computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint etc).
Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients at all levels both in English and Romanian. German is a plus.
Actuarial science master or exams passed at the Institute of Actuaries from UK or equivalent represent a differentiator.
Programming skills are highly appreciated (especially in R, VBA, Python, Prophet).
