Summary

This Senior Business Analyst role focuses on implementing new technologies and accelerating project delivery for a major bank's regulatory reporting initiatives. Responsibilities include producing business requirements for reporting trades and transactions across global regulators (e.g., SFTR, CFTC, EMIR), documenting requirements, generating test cases, collaborating with product owners and architecture teams, managing project scope, performing data mapping analysis, and resolving functional/technical issues. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in trade and transaction reporting, a deep understanding of OTC derivatives, and experience interpreting regulatory requirements (RTS). Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Must have:

Project description

For one of the largest banks we are looking for Senior Team member to help the bank to implement new technologies and speed up the delivery on various projects.

Responsibilities

Produce Business Requirements relating to the Reporting of any trades and transactions across major Global Regulators (e.g. SFTR, CFTC, EMIR, HKMA, MAS, ASIC) to Trade / Swap Data Repositories (e.g. DTCC, Unavista, US SEC, etc).

Fully document scope of all related business requirements, relating to each deliverable, and ensure these are understood by business and operational stakeholders and IT teams

Provide input into the generation of test cases to support the Test strategy and support any analysis to resolve defects.

Work closely with the Product Owners and Architecture teams to ensure all regional deliveries are consistent with the global approach.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders (Business, Operations, Compliance, and IT) in understanding the impact of each business initiatives on regulatory reporting.

Work to ensure potential gaps and issues in solutions are risk assessed, and appropriate solutions/controls are defined.

Perform data mapping analysis to understand the availability and quality of data.

Manage project scope and requirements throughout the project lifecycle;

Perform functional testing before start of UAT

Provide UAT support, analyse and resolve issues identified during user testing

Resolve functional and technical issues related to business applications.

Provide input to technical design decisions and business application strategy.

Establish and maintain communication with IT and Business Stakeholders, ensure regulatory reporting requirements are properly addressed on all levels of system and procedural changes

Skills

Must have

8+ years of overall experience and 4+ years of experience in trade and transaction reporting

Knowledge of trade & transaction reporting regimes like EMIR / Emir Refit, CFTC/ CFTC Refit, SFTR, MIFIR / MIFID II transaction reporting, ASIS / MAS reporting etc.

Good understanding of OTC derivatives products (Credit derivatives / FX derivatives / Commodity derivatives) and it's lifecycle

Prior experience with going through RTS and interpreting it and putting together Functional specification document

Knows how to handle project complexity in terms of stakeholder management, conflict management, change management etc.

Experience working in team engagements to finalize new operating models and roadmaps for change across people, process, data and technology

Adaptable to an evolving scope of tasks, comfortable with uncertainty as well as changing global requirements

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; expertise in setting and managing customer expectations

Distinctive blend of business, IT, financial and communication skills, as this is a highly visible position with substantial impact
