We are seeking an experienced Interest Rate Risk Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in London. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in interest rate risk management, banking and Treasury applications, and have a strong background in data analysis, SQL, and stakeholder engagement. This role involves working on complex technical projects, performing data mapping for risk modeling platforms, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Interest Rate Risk Management: Lead and manage processes, models, and methodologies related to interest rate risk management within the organization, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Technical Project Delivery: Drive technical projects that involve complex data analysis and ensure accurate design, documentation, and implementation of data mapping requirements for risk modeling platforms.
Business Analysis: Act as a business analyst for Treasury and banking applications, participating in end-to-end testing, and providing sign-off to ensure project milestones are met.
Asset Class Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge across a range of asset classes (e.g., fixed income, derivatives, etc.) within the banking environment to support accurate risk management.
Data Mapping and SQL Skills: Utilize SQL to analyze and manipulate data effectively, contributing to accurate data preparation, analysis, and documentation for modeling.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business, including Treasury, risk, IT, and compliance teams, to align objectives, secure approvals, and ensure successful project outcomes.
Must have
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in interest rate risk management or a related field.
Technical Skills:
Strong SQL skills for data analysis and manipulation.
Deep understanding of interest rate risk models, processes, and methodologies.
Project Management: Proven track record in delivering technical projects involving complex data analysis, design, and documentation.
Banking and Treasury Applications: Experience as a business analyst within banking or Treasury, with the ability to support testing and quality assurance.
Asset Class Knowledge: Familiarity with a wide range of asset classes in a banking or financial services setting.
Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse teams.
Nice to have
Knowledge of risk modeling platforms and tools.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to interest rate risk management.
