We have an interdisciplinary experience team in our Fan Growth organization tasked with shaping the experience strategy to reduce friction and deepen engagement with our fans. This team – in deep collaboration with colleagues in product management, studio development, marketing, engineering, data science, service delivery, and more – uses human-centered design methods to understand the needs and motivations of our players and bring solutions to life.
The Design Technologist, Design Systems is a remote-friendly role reporting to the Senior Manager, Experience Design and Research. You will work through a design system backlog, prototype new components and experiences, and work with designers and engineers to keep the design system running.
Contribute to the development of our design system through enhancements & bug fixes
Assist & participate in day-to-day design system operations; including prioritization, grooming & release management
Work with engineering teams to ensure components are implemented properly & provide them support in best practices when utilizing our design system
Partner with designers to ensure engineered components are up to standard relative to their Figma component counterparts
Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or related disciplines; or equivalent experience
5+ years experience as a technologist with design systems
Front-end development experience (HTML, CSS and JavaScript)
Experience with React.js, Tailwind CSS, TypeScript
Experience designing and prototyping with Figma (nice to have)
An understanding of web standards, browser performance, responsive web design and basic UX/UI principles
Experience with motion design is a nice to have
Experience working cross-functionally with design, engineering, research, and data partners.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento): º $140,700 - $204,700 USD Annually
New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo): º $125,300 - $204,700 USD Annually
Jersey City, NJ : º $164,800 - $204,700 USD Annually
Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs): º $131,000 - $174,800 USD Annually
Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane): º $125,300 - $198,100 USD Annually
British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): º $115,100 - $161,200 CAN Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to temporary full-time employees scheduled to work full time. In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
