Job Description

Visa’s Global Risk organization is seeking a leader to build a team of experienced Risk professionals focusing on Visa’s top Technology Risk. This leader will be responsible for providing second line of defense oversight on Technology Risks, ensuring secure and high availability / reliability of Visa Services. Key business partners will include all Technology leaders. This leader should collaborate with leaders from Cybersecurity, Operations & Infrastructure (O&I) and Client Support Services (CSS) to build a Risk management program including risk identification, mitigation, compliance and governance processes.

Essential Functions

  • Lead the Tech / Cyber Risk 2nd Line Oversight Program
  • Build domain with dedicated teams for tech risk oversight
  • Provide independent risk management oversight of Cyber and Availability & Reliability risks across the enterprise
  • Perform independent assessment and challenge through deployment of Tech Risk Programs, incl. Control Reviews
  • Review production issues , document lessons learned, partner with Tech teams for risk identification / mitigation
  • Promote a strong risk management culture across global teams
  • Document findings / recommendations from deep dive exercises and collaborate with 1st line for implementation
  • Identify the business risk and put through governance process for Risk committees review and corrective action

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Educational Background

  • 12 -15 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Master’s MBA, PhD). Preferred areas of study include Technology, Cybersecurity, or Business.

Technical Experience

  • 5-10 years of proven experience with Visa applications, services, and operational support and engineering processes, or applicable comparable experience within the Financial or Payment industries.
  • 5-10 years of proven experience with Visa infrastructure and technologies covering the full range of technologies and disciplines deployed, or applicable comparable experience within the Financial or Payment industries.
  • 5-10 years of proven experience with audit and regulatory agency response and control creation, or comparable organizational risk experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience within information technology teams responsible for both operational or application support and engineering delivery.

Communication

  • Proven record of creating executive management level documents and presentations.
  • Proven record of facilitating meetings and presentations across corporate hierarchy levels and to diverse groups of stakeholders.
  • A collaborative team player who is able to drive groups to consensus and create compelling messages.

Process Experience

  • Experience with appropriate project management and process disciplines including ITIL, PMI, or Six Sigma.
  • Proven experience coordinating complex projects and efforts across multiple organizational tiers and teams.
  • Proven experience with project or initiative delivery with complex requirements and challenging timelines.
  • Proven experience with data analytics, synthesis, and executive reporting across technical topics and processes.
  • Proven experience building and implementing corporate level process improvements, and the metrics that support the success of those initiatives.

Leadership

  • Able to attract talented Team members, and build Teams that achieve at a high level.
  • Experience building a Team from internal and external candidates, across a wide range of industry experience, in order to tackle varied problems and assignments.
