Overview

Are you an experienced product management leader looking for an opportunity to have outsized impact across multiple products?

The M365 Core Platform Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and Business Intelligence (BI) team is devoted to achieving the M365 commercial margin targets by managing billions of dollars in spending. We develop products that provide insights into costs, drivers, and actionable intelligence using AIOps. We organize leadership forums to tackle spending challenges and explore efficiency strategies. 

 

The team leverages BI to build reports and dashboards that highlight the value of our platform and investments. This role offers a unique intersection of product management, business strategy, and data analysis, with significant leadership exposure. The Product Manager will work closely with product owners to manage spending while simultaneously providing elevated insights for leadership. 

 

This role demands a strong grasp of product leadership and data analysis to influence strategic decisions and optimize customer value at the lowest possible cost. The Product Manager will collaborate with multiple affiliate teams, architects, and product leaders across M365 and the broader organization to turn this vision into reality.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Great problem-solving skills with strong technical proficiency and strategic thinking. 
  • Ability to work independently in highly ambiguous environments. 
  • Ability to work across team boundaries to get things done.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented. 
  • Ability to tailor your message to different audiences. 
  • Prior experience working on cloud platforms and cogs/ margins.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate: Develop accountability framework and manage dependencies across a wide array of individuals in partner teams to deliver data and metrics for key business priorities. Support cogs product to provide critical data and insights across E&D to services and workloads 
  • Innovate: Establish business intelligence tools and analysis that help identify opportunities and manage regular rhythm of business forums to push for actionable insights for leaders. Drive innovations in the way we think about data across the org. 
  • Act as a critical bridge in the team to understand both sides of offerings and investments – value and costs. 
  • Create: Build the telemetry and data pipelines required to generate data for the metrics and insights you identify and design product that allow everyone in the org to view and explore data through self-service tools. 
  • Create: Develop cogs models to support LT decision making on long term strategies and drive methodology and solution to understand our cogs for customer scenarios. 
  • Knowledge: Cloud Platform, data analysis, financial modelling, product development and execution 
  • Be a self-starter, learn quickly with a growth mindset and ability to deal with a lot of ambiguity.
