As a Senior Software Developer specializing in Product Security, you will work with the Nasdaq Verafin application and contribute to other repositories to enhance the security posture. You will work closely with Threat and Vulnerability Management (TVM) to remediate container vulnerabilities, write and maintain application security features, and coordinate penetration tests with third-party vendors. You will also be responsible for remediating security findings and owning security-sensitive areas of the application, such as Authentication and Authorization. This role provides an exceptional learning environment, allowing you to deepen your knowledge and skills in application security, protecting digital assets and data, opening doors to advanced career opportunities and leadership roles in the cybersecurity field.
Must have:
  • Remediate container vulnerabilities with TVM.
  • Write and maintain application security features.

Good to have:
  • Knowledge of secure coding best practises for Java and web applications.
  • An understanding of OWASP Top 10 would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with IaC/Terraform would be considered an asset.

Exciting Opportunity: Senior Software Developer – Product Security 

We're seeking a driven senior software developer to join our dynamic team specializing in product security. This role offers the chance to significantly enhance your expertise in secure development practices while working extensively with the Nasdaq Verafin application. What You'll Do: 

  • Work closely with Threat and Vulnerability Management (TVM) to remediate container vulnerabilities 

  • Write and maintain application security features 

  • Coordinate penetration tests with 3rd party vendors  

  • Remediate security related findings 

  • Own security sensitive areas of the application such as Authentication and Authorization 

  • Security code reviews 

 

What We're Looking For: 

  • Strong analytical skills and creativity to solve complex problems  

  • Knowledge of secure coding best practises for Java and web applications  

  • An understanding of OWASP Top 10 would be considered an asset 

  • Experience with IaC/Terraform would be considered an asset
