The Character Artist will collaborate with the character art team to develop portraits, creatures, modular outfits, and armor for a new project, to be used in gameplay, cinematics, and marketing materials. Responsibilities include creating characters and armor based on concept art, collaborating with the Art Director, building clean topology, giving and receiving feedback, problem-solving, monitoring progress, and documenting tools and production pipelines. They must work well in a team and take ownership of problems.
Good To Have:- Experience setting up characters in Unity
- Character animation skills
- Texturing skills (mapping geometry, UV manipulation, texture adjustments)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- An avid gamer and love of Sci-Fi.
Must Have:- Experience in a Character Art position with a shipped game title.
- Ability to create believable high/low-poly characters and textures.
- Knowledge of human anatomy and form, with attention to detail.
- Strong skills in organic and hard-surface modeling.
- Knowledge of major 3D software packages (Maya/Max, Zbrush).
