Job Description

Google is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Corp Eng team in Hyderabad, India. This role requires 5+ years of software development experience, including expertise in data structures, algorithms, testing, maintenance, and product launches. Responsibilities include writing and testing code, participating in design reviews, code reviews, contributing to documentation, debugging, and resolving system issues. The ideal candidate will have experience with software design and architecture, and possess strong problem-solving abilities and leadership qualities. The work involves developing and maintaining software solutions critical to Google's internal operations, contributing to the infrastructure that supports all of Google's products and services. The role demands versatility and the ability to tackle full-stack challenges.

Must have:

5+ years software development experience
Data structures and algorithms expertise
Testing, maintenance, and product launch experience
Software design and architecture experience
Code writing and testing
Design review participation
Debugging and issue resolution

Good to have:

Master's degree in CS or related field
Technical leadership experience
Experience with accessible technologies

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
Experience developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities

Write and test product or system development code.
Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
