Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting, and with Android application development.
- Experience working on Java or Kotlin.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Experience working on Swift/C++.
- Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software solutions that improve the user's Pixel experience. Define and implement Pixel-specific capabilities that make Pixel stand out amongst all Android devices.
- Ensure seamless integration of AI capabilities into Pixel's software and hardware components. Work closely with UX designers to advocate user-centric, intuitive design principles and advocate for user delight and accessibility.
- Collaborate with hardware, product management, and other teams to bring Pixel's unique features and experiences to market.
- Explore and experiment with new mobile and AI technologies, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on mobile devices.
- Write technical designs and participate in technical discussions.
