The Capacity Intelligence team at Google develops a platform for improving the obtainability of scarce resources in Google Cloud, including GPUs for Machine Learning. This role involves C++ development within a modern microservices architecture. Responsibilities include writing product/system development code, driving cloud resource optimization, shaping resource allocation strategies, designing and executing unit/integration tests (Guitar and TAP frameworks), and influencing cloud customer demand patterns. The team uses a mature Scrum process. The ideal candidate will have experience with C++, data structures, and algorithms, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Must have:
  • C++ development experience
  • Data structures and algorithms expertise
  • Unit/integration testing (Guitar/TAP)
  • Cloud resource optimization
  • Problem-solving & communication skills
Good to have:
  • Master's/PhD in CS or related field

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in C++, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with attention to detail.

The Capacity Intelligence team develops a platform for improving the obtainability of scarce resources in Google Cloud. This includes GPUs for Machine Learning. They work with modern microservices architecture using C++. Their mission is to improve the obtainability of Google Cloud services and decrease time to ship new features to customers. The team uses a very mature Scrum Process that supports easy onboarding and effective feature delivery.
