Job Description

As a Software Engineer III, Front End at Google Cloud, you will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions. You'll participate in design reviews, review code, contribute to documentation, and debug system issues. The role involves working on projects critical to Google's needs, with opportunities to switch teams. You'll need expertise in front-end frameworks, data structures, algorithms, and ideally full-stack development or API development. The position requires managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring the best and fastest user experience. This role is crucial for building and maintaining Google's product portfolio and supporting its digital transformation efforts.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2 years software development experience
2 years experience with data structures/algorithms
Write and review code
Debug and resolve system issues

Good to have:

Master's/PhD in CS
Experience with front-end frameworks
Full-stack or API development experience
Experience developing accessible technologies

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
2 years of experience with front-end frameworks, full-stack development, or API development.
Experience developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities

Write product or system development code.
Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
