PTW is seeking a motivated and talented Junior Tech Artist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with a passion for art and creativity. You will work closely with senior technical artists, artists, and engineers to develop and implement technical solutions that enhance the visual quality and performance of our projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and optimization of shaders, materials, and visual effects.
  • Support the creation and integration of 3D assets, ensuring they meet performance and quality standards.
  • Help maintain technical documentation and best practices for the art team.
  • Assist in designing and maintaining efficient art pipelines and workflows.
  • Develop custom tools and scripts under the guidance of senior technical artists to streamline the production process.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate new technologies and tools into the production pipeline.
  • Work closely with artists and designers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the art team, helping them overcome technical challenges.
  • Liaise between the art and engineering teams to ensure smooth communication and project development.
  • Conduct regular reviews of art assets and provide feedback to ensure they meet technical and artistic standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the team’s capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Game Design is a must.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in technical art or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Unity Engine.
  • Basic proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, C#) and shader development.
  • Good understanding of 3D art principles, including modeling, texturing, and animation.
  • Experience with performance optimization techniques for real-time applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
