WW Repair Center Material Cost & Availability Expert

Description -

This core position responsibility is to manage and optimize the WW Repair material cost and availability.

This role is critical to enable the strategic intent to have the 3 Repairs Centers local sourcing most of the material/lower level components for their operations, instead of buying from Buying Agents.

This strategy results in cheaper acquisition cost, higher availability and faster response time to change in demand.

One of his/her focus will be to establish and ramp-up the new sourcing portfolio model, and then manage and optimize it across the 3 repair centers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Repair Center with material stoppers reduction.
  • MOQ approval and optimization across all Repair Centers
  • Manage E&O and reduce its costs by leveraging it between all RC.
  • Manage the components sourcing portfolio (local, direct, and 2nd tier)
  • Increase local and direct sourcing ratio.
  • Leverage sourcing options across Repair Centers
  • Find sourcing solutions to HP designed components.
  • Components cost benchmarking, and cost reduction to target pricing.
  • Material BCP plan within and across Repair Centers
  • Partners with global business units and supply bases to generate and deliver demand..
  • Defines and reviews performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement actions to address.

 

Education & Experience Recommended:

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Operations management, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, vendors management or a related field.

 

Preferred Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (Standards Organizations)

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Sourcing, Supply Chain and planning deep understanding and experience.
  • Technical understanding of the HW components and its role in the Assy
  • Read technical drawings.
  • Data Analysis high capabilities
  • Financial acumen
  • Structured and organized.
  • High presentation skills and story telling
  • Effective Communication
  • Process improvement.
  • High tasks/projects lead capabilities.
  • ERP systems deep understanding and experience
