Project description

We are looking for an Ops engineer to join us in Sophis Platform squad responsible for monitoring application performance, analyse and fix performance issues on Finastra Sophis package, within the WB Tech FM&GT Sophis area. You'll work in a multi skilled Sophis Ops squad, using the agile methodology to deliver on the company and business' priorities, from the backlog.
You need a have fair knowledge of financial market aspect but not must. You can handle well immediate user-facing interaction with our internal customers as well as working on backlog stories.
You strive towards automation, and you assist in bringing us to full continuous delivery.
Your key responsibilities
As an Ops engineer, one of the key roles is to be the first line of interaction with our users in case of any issue on infrastructure performance in nature. You'll need to handle comfortably all sides of service management such as incident, problem and change management.
Thanks to your technical knowledge of the deployment, you should be able to use the Azure for the deployment of Sophis package (client and server side),You'll give feedback to the developers to improve stability, performance, monitoring and recoverability of the application.

- Where possible, you take on tasks/activities that contribute to the mission, even when they are not entirely within your area of expertise.

Responsibilities

LoanIQ version Upgrade, including testing of new enhancements, retesting of existing defects/fixes in the release.

expert-level knowledge with EVM and notices.

Work with Finastra (LoanIQ's vendor) to ensure that client fixes are delivered with the appropriate priority.

Understand & Analyze business requirements and design and implement them.

Understanding of the Loan IQ data model and the ability to create queries to assist in the analysis of issues/requirements.

Commercial lending domain knowledge.

Skills

Must have

Good knowledge of Finastra Capital Fusion

Sophis 6.x Front/Back office, Value at Risk modules

Good knowledge in SQL programming: syntax, objects utilization and optimization (materialized view, table partitioning).

Experience in Sophis processes monitoring (logs analyse, workflow)

Experience in Oracle Database Performance Tuning (SQL Trace and SQL plan information)

Experience in delivering solutions on the Windows platform (Citrix, Windows servers, ...)

Experience in one relevant programming language (PowerShell) and good knowledge of Azure pipeline.

Comfortable with Agile and Continuous Delivery practices.

Pro-active, assertive and a good communicator.

Have an excellent written and spoken English! (Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is an asset);
