Job Title: Adult Program and Services Manager
Reports to: Associate Director of Nunavut Operations
Location:  Iqaluit, NU
Salary: $100,000 + Northern Allowance

What does success look like at Pinnguaq?

  • Engaging with thousands of young learners and adults across the country through the delivery of community-centred workshops
  • Designing and deploying interactive experiences, online learning modules, and maker kits to teach STEAM fundamentals to all ages
  • Publishing the nationally-recognized Root & STEM magazine, create a space to explore diverse voices and stories in STEAM
  • Operating makerspaces in Nunavut & Ontario providing hands-on access to tools, equipment, and training for inquisitive minds and makers

Job Summary: 
As the Adult Program and Services Manager at Pinnguaq Association, you'll lead the strategy and execution of our Adult Delivery Programs in alignment with our organizational goals. You'll ensure our programs meet the needs of Adult participants nationwide. Your responsibilities include overseeing Adult program delivery and ensuring organizational deliverables are being met for reporting purposes and organizational goal alignment. The Adult Program and Services Manager will drive program success and continuous improvement while working hand-in-hand with leadership. Additionally, you'll collaborate with the Associate Director of Delivery Operations to create resources for program execution and develop learner pathways for continuous skill development.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead the strategy of all adult programs rooted in the needs and requests of our communities
  • Manage the program budget and develop a program budget execution strategy
  • Manage the Employment specialists, STEAM Educators and other roles as needed to ensure our Adult Program and Services are top quality
  • Collaborating with internal teams to gather resources and develop a robust adult learning experiences 
  • Build and maintain relationships to discover and drive continuous revenue for adult programs
  • Work with internal teams on ensuring our Learning Management System reflects program training materials catered towards adult learners
  • Work hand in hand with leadership to confirm organization needs are aligned with programs being offered 
  • Stay up to date with labour market trends to make informed recommendations on new program opportunities and target markets 
  • Work with the Delivery Operations Team to ensure a seamless evaluation process across our adult programs.
  • Analyze the qualitative feedback received regarding programming to support ongoing development
  • Create resources to support the Delivery Team’s execution of adult programing 
  • Source and attend relevant conferences and other community events as an ambassador for Pinnguaq’s adult programs 
  • Lead the development of innovative, culturally appropriate programs and services that promote digital literacy, cultural preservation, and economic development in Canada.
  • Support our development team in creating compelling cases so Pinnguaq’s adult programs receive funding support
  • Develop Pinnguaq “learner pathways” that provide learners with resources and tools to pursue further learning
Attributes and Qualifications: 
Equal consideration will be given to non-academic skills and experiences of candidates.
  • Degree or diploma in relevant discipline  or equivalent experience 
  • 3+ years experience in program management
  • 3+ years industry experience 
  • You have experience in seeking program participants  insight and feedback, user journeys, and innovative programming
  • Familiar with a non-profit landscape, program funding and managing budgets  
  • Comfortable working with Google Suits, experience with Slack and Monday would be an asset 
  • Experience building and maintaining communities relationships, and experience working with rural, remote or indigenous communities would be an asset
  • Ability to work independently and with a team, using available resources to find answers to your questions
  • Capable of prioritizing projects and meeting deadlines
