Poste - Responsable de la création artistique externe

Reporting

Le·a Responsable de la création artistique externe reportera au Producteur en charge de l’Outsoucing.

Responsabilités et tâches

  • Programmer le contenu artistique en collaboration avec la direction artistique interne (modélisation 3D) et la production.
  • Collaborer à l'élaboration et à la mise à jour de la documentation relative à notre direction artistique et à nos pipelines d'actifs afin d'être en mesure d'examiner efficacement et en toute confiance les actifs, de résoudre et d'anticiper les problèmes et de communiquer le retour d'information.
  • Intégrer les ressources dans le moteur afin d'examiner les exigences techniques et la qualité artistique.
  • Fournir des commentaires techniques et artistiques clairs et concis aux artistes externes.
  • Gérer les calendriers des équipes externes et s'assurer qu'ils sont synchronisés avec les étapes du projet.
  • Agir en tant que communicateur·trice clé, en faisant le lien entre les équipes artistiques internes et les partenaires externes.
  • Établir et développer d'excellentes relations de travail avec nos partenaires de production.
  • S'assurer que les équipes externes disposent de toutes les informations dont elles ont besoin pour produire des œuvres d'art conformes à la vision du jeu.
  • Créer et maintenir un environnement de travail inclusif entre les équipes internes et externes.

Qualifications recherchées

  • Au moins deux ans d'expérience à des postes de gestion similaires, tels que directeur·trice artistique externe, responsable artistique, responsable de l'externalisation ou autre poste pertinent.
  • Expérience en tant qu'artiste de jeu, artiste de l'environnement ou artiste généraliste.
  • Bonne compréhension des méthodologies de développement, des meilleures pratiques, du cycle de vie de la production, des outils et des processus.
  • Expert en Jira et Excel/GSheet.

Qualifications souhaitées

  • Expérience avec Unreal Engine.
  • Expérience des logiciels de gestion de la production créative tels que ShotGrid.
  • Excellentes aptitudes à la communication interpersonnelle et capacité à établir des partenariats fructueux à tous les niveaux d'une équipe et d'une organisation.
  • Expérience du lancement et de l'exploitation de jeux en direct avec une solide compréhension des meilleures pratiques de développement pour les jeux en tant que service.
  • Être à l'aise dans l'ambiguïté, faire preuve de flexibilité et d'adaptabilité pour ajuster les plans et les stratégies à mesure que de nouvelles informations sont obtenues ou que les conditions du projet évoluent.

Position – External Art Manager

We are looking for an experienced External Art Manager to join the Haven Interactive Studios project team. As an External Art Manager, you will own daily workflows and communications between our internal Art teams and our external Art partners. You will work with the Outsourcing Producer and leadership team to establish production best practices and to put in place an asset production tracking system to organize, catalog, and track asset development.

Reporting

The External Art Manager will report to the Outsourcing Producer.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Schedule art content in collaboration with internal art leadership (3D Modeling) and production
  • Collaborate in building and maintaining documentation of our art direction and asset pipelines to be able to effectively and confidently review assets, solve and anticipate problems and communicate feedback
  • Integrate assets in engine to review technical requirements and artistic quality
  • Provide clear and concise technical and artistic feedback to external artists
  • Manage external team schedules and ensure they are in sync with project milestones
  • Act as a key communicator, bridging the internal art teams with external partners
  • Establish and develop excellent working relationships with our production partners
  • Ensure external teams have all the information they need to produce art in line with the game vision
  • Build and maintain an inclusive work environment between internal and external teams

Experience and Skills Required

  • At least 2 years of experience in similar management positions such as External Art Manager, Art Lead, Outsourcing Manager or other relevant position.
  • Experience working as a game artist, Environment or Generalist artist
  • Good understanding of development methodologies, best practices, production life cycle, tools and processes.
  • Expert in Jira and Excel/GSheet

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Unreal Engine
  • Experience with Creative production management software such as ShotGrid
  • Great interpersonal communication skills with an ability to successfully partner across and at all levels of a team and organization.
  • Experience launching and operating live service games with a solid understanding of development best practices for Games As A Service.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, displaying flexibility and adaptability to adjust plans and strategies as new information is gained or as project conditions change.
