Communix, a leading social gaming startup, seeks a Senior Backend Developer to contribute to the core operations. Responsibilities include developing APIs and tools, maintaining high-quality deliveries, implementing new technologies, and building high-performing multi-threaded servers. The role demands experience with large-scale, distributed systems and microservices architecture. Candidates should possess proficiency in Node.JS, JavaScript (ES6+), socket.io, MySQL, and cloud environments (preferably GCP).
Must have:
- 2+ years backend dev experience
- MySQL expertise (query optimization)
- Node.JS, JavaScript (ES6+), socket.io proficiency
- Cloud experience (GCP preferred)
- Distributed systems & microservices
Good to have:
- GCP and MMO server development experience
- DevOps and Applicative DBA experience
- Gaming industry experience

Description
Communix is the biggest up and coming social gaming start-up and we're looking for a talented Senior Backend Developer.
The role will involve working with large scale, distributed systems and constantly coming up with innovative server-side solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop APIs and tools used in the core of the company’s operation
- Maintain fast-paced deliveries with no compromises on quality and user experience
- Implementing new technologies
- Develop high performing servers in multi-threaded and complex environments
Requirements
- 2+ years experience as a backend developer
- 2+ years experience with MySQL, key understanding in query optimization and best practices
- High proficiency in Node.JS and JavaScript (including ES6) + socket.io
- Experience in cloud environments and deployment, preferably GCP
- Experience with distributed systems and micro services architecture
- The ability to be self-directed, a natural auto-didact and require minimal supervision
Advantages
- Prior experience with GCP and MMO server development
- DevOps and Applicative DBA experience
- Familiarity with Redis
- Gaming industry experience
