Job Description

Voodoo is seeking an ambitious Senior Backend Engineer to join their team working on Wizz, a social app for teens with over 3 million monthly active users. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining highly scalable and available backends for the app. You will also contribute to shaping the product, best practices on reliability and availability, and the overall back-end infrastructure. This role will involve collaboration with a high-performing team of 20 professionals, fostering a spirit of goodwill and creativity.

Must have:

Experience with Node.js, Fastify, Socket.io, Firebase
Experience with MongoDB and Redis databases
Experience with Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Bucket, S3, CloudFront
Familiarity with Github Actions, AWS CLI, Gcloud CLI, Docker, microservice architecture

Good to have:

Experience with XCode, GitHub, Cocoapods

Role

Design, implement, deploy and maintain highly-scalable and available backends for a social app used by millions of users
Contribute to shaping product
Contribute to best practices on reliability and availability
Contribute to the back-end overall infrastructure
