Job Description

As a Senior C++ Developer in the Corporate Operations Group, you'll build high-performance applications for commodities and global markets. This role demands strong collaboration with traders, analysts, and developers to deliver robust solutions, including trading algorithms, risk management tools, and pricing models. You will be responsible for design, development, testing, maintenance, and optimization. Troubleshooting, code reviews, and staying current with industry trends are key. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, possesses excellent problem-solving skills, and can effectively communicate technical details. Experience in investment banks is preferred. This is a remote role based in India.

Project description

As a passionate and flexible C++ Developer, you will work in our Corporate Operations Group providing technology solutions for our Commodities and Global Markets business.
You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and draw on your collaborative and problem-solving skills to achieve optimal outcomes for your stakeholders in a space that is undergoing a large transformation. You will think critically to understand and navigate business challenges and use your exceptional people skills to negotiate through ambiguity as you proactively identify and manage risks and issues.
You will be someone that thinks big, challenges the norm, collaborates efficiently, welcomes feedback, has an eye for detail, and who is committed to offering implementable, innovative, and intuitive solutions to complex scenarios. You will work autonomously as a part of a dynamic and motivated team working in an agile software development environment.
You must have a track record of having worked in big companies, experience in having worked in investment banks preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance C++ applications for capital markets products.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including traders, analysts, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.

Implement and optimize trading algorithms, risk management tools, and pricing models.

Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices through code reviews and refactoring.

Troubleshoot and debug issues in the existing codebase, providing timely resolutions.

Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in capital markets technology to propose innovative solutions.

Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and support.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

Skills

Must have

5+ years of strong experience in C++ coding and development role (relevant experience)

Must have good experience in Modern C++ coding

Good in C++ programming language with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles

Familiarity with other programming languages such as Python or Java.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously

Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail

Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders

Nice to have

Experience with distributed computing and parallel programming.

Knowledge of financial mathematics and quantitative analysis.

Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the financial industry.

Previous experience in developing trading systems or risk management software.

Certification or coursework related to capital markets or financial engineering.
