About the job:
As a Customer Engineer, Security, you'll play a crucial role in helping leading companies leverage the power of Google Cloud. You'll work with sales and Google Cloud teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand customer technical and compliance objections, and develop strategies to resolve technical blockers. You'll demonstrate and validate solution benefits in customer and partner environments, supporting Google Cloud Security opportunities and relationships. You'll deliver technical presentations, product and solution briefings, proofs-of-concepts, and demos to customers, partners, and stakeholders. Your role will involve preparing and delivering product messaging to highlight the value proposition of our solutions, using techniques like presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, trial management, and response documents. You'll also travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events when required.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in technical sales engineering in a cloud computing environment
  • Experience engaging with technical stakeholders and executive leaders
  • Experience in implementing security solutions for enterprises
  • Knowledge of product and solution market trends in cybersecurity
Good to have:
  • Certification in the Cloud or Security industry
  • Excellent problem-solving, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience serving in the capacity of a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment, or equivalent experience in a similar customer-facing role (e.g., within a professional services, solutions architect, or systems engineering team).
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in the Cloud or Security industry.
  • Experience in implementing security solutions for enterprises (e.g., SIEM/SOAR, threat detection and hunting, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, or identity and access management systems).
  • Knowledge of product and solution market trends in the cybersecurity industry (e.g., ransomware, attack frameworks, zero trust, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.

  • Work with all Google Cloud Security products to demonstrate and validate solution benefits in customer and partner environments.
  • Support Google Cloud Security opportunities and relationships, own technical aspects of solutions, deliver technical presentations, product and solution briefings, proofs-of-concepts and demos to customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver product messaging in an effort to highlight our solutions value proposition using techniques including presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, trial management, and response documents.
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events where applicable.
