We are looking for an IT Director for Respawn Entertainment, the award-winning studio behind multi-platform games such as Apex Legends, Titanfall, and Star Wars Jedi. As the IT Leader, you will help ensure the Studio has the technology, knowledge, and services they need to create world-class games. Your role reports to the VP of Employee Technology and Customer Success |EA IT's Employee and Studio Experience (ESE), which is dedicated to providing the best tools and support for EA teams to perform at their highest potential.

As the IT Director for Respawn, you will guide business technology strategy, solution discovery, service and risk management, and relationship management with the Respawn studio and EA IT. Embracing diversity and inclusion, you will promote the development of great games through an open and collaborative work style involving planning, technical leadership, innovation, and project management. You will ensure the security of game development assets by following security requirements and operating procedures. Additionally, you are adaptable to changing project requirements and priorities.

As the IT Director, you will guide strategies that align with our goals and foster innovation, scalability, and efficiency in game development. You will align the IT roadmap with our studio goals, driving strategic technology decisions and leading investment budget planning. You will ensure customer satisfaction by understanding and meeting needs, building relationships, and delivering IT services promptly. Operationally, you will act as the escalation point from Respawn to EA IT, ensuring the studio receives high-quality services.

Responsibilities

  • Set goals, coach, and grow employees

  • Prioritize staff work intake from requestors, such as Respawn Global locations, Global IT, and EA Security.

  • Collaborate with global service lines such as Service Desk, Service Operations, and Infrastructure to ensure needs of Respawn are met.

  • Promote technology learning and usage within the department and studio

  • Lead the evaluation, implementation, and support of studio technology

  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in IT technology

  • Educate Development Teams on global IT tools, strategies, and roadmaps

  • Partner with IT and Respawn leadership to lead strategic technology decision

  • Develop long and short-term IT strategies for Respawn, ensuring an understanding of studio needs and global IT goals

Qualifications:

  • Requires 10 or more years of experience in all aspects of IT

  • Requires 3+ years of experience managing IT

  • Experience managing teams with excellent leadership skills while influencing stakeholders

  • Experience with game development pipelines

  • Experience with IT Security best practices

  • ITIL experience

  • Experience managing technical teams

  • Bachelor of Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience

US Compensation and Benefits

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

Base Salary Ranges

  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento): º $170,500 - $259,300 USD Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
