Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with Machine Learning and Generative AI, chatbots.
  • Experience managing teams of Software Engineers and developed technical leads.
  • Experience in support domain.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, ramp-up and manage a diverse team.
  • Work with customer engagement, machine learning operations, Gemini and the broader YouTube organization to develop the models powering a Support Assistant based on a Large Language Model (LLM).
  • Work with other cross-functional teams at YouTube to integrate other skills in the assistant (e.g., explaining video performance, resolving Trust and Safety issues).
