Job Description
We’re looking for a senior product designer for our growing, innovative Sage Network product and experience team. Imagine being at the forefront of innovation in the fintech industry. It’s your chance to influence and transform this industry’s trajectory. Join us and shape the future of the Sage Network platform. If you possess a curious mind and a fervor for crafting exceptional user experiences, this role is tailored for you.
**About Sage Network**
The Sage Network platform is the first of its kind in accounting software. Most financial teams are stuck in a world of manual emails, phone calls, PDFs, and hand entries. Imagine a solution where teams could automate and synchronize financial transactions and processes between businesses, even if they aren't using Sage accounting software. The Sage Network automates tasks like sending invoices and waiting for payments, connecting all users into one seamless system, whether they use Sage software or not. It's a game-changer in the world of connected accounting, enabling smooth transactions with customers, suppliers, banks, and other stakeholders, revolutionizing the overall efficiency of accounting processes.
**Your Mission**
As the dedicated designer for the Company squad, you will create intuitive and accessible experiences for key features such as the Customer Account Portal, My Network list, and smart tools to streamline user workflows. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with your PM and engineering squad to define and deliver end-to-end experiences from ideation to launch.
**What Sets This Role Apart? **
- ** Strategic Priority: ** Sage Network is our future - this is a chance to shape the experience from its inception, providing high visibility and frequent engagement with stakeholders.
** Startup Culture: ** The Sage Network product team operates like a startup within Sage, allowing you to move quickly and make impactful decisions. You’ll also join a large cross-functional team of product managers and dedicated engineers.
**Innovative Tools & Collaboration: ** Work with Figma and collaborate with the Sage AI Engineering Team, leveraging AI and machine learning to enhance user experience.
** Empowered Team: ** Join a team of 5 product designers, 2 UX researchers, 1 product content writer, and your product design manager who are all empowered by the director and VP to do what they do best and are highly invested in their development and success.
**Tech Stack**
You’ll work with Figma and expand (or gain) FinTech experience.
**Meet Your Manager & Team**
Your immediate colleagues will be a mix of product designers, researchers, and content writers. You'll be reporting to the product design manager, who trusts and empowers her team to do what they do best!
** Minimum Qualifications - is this you? **
4 years of experience as a product designer with a focus on FinTech, accounting software, or similar.

You can provide examples of how you’ve collaborated with researchers, built user flows, early wireframing concepts, and prototyping.
You’re known for being an effective communicator who can clearly articulate design decisions and rationales, with a ‘show early and often’ mentality.
You deeply value working with others to achieve a common goal.
You believe in being kind and having fun at work.
**Key Responsibilities**
**What You’ll Do**
Seek to develop a deep knowledge of the user base and apply a UCD (user-centered design) approach to iterating on the design based on user feedback.
Partner with your research colleagues to assemble data about how users engage with our products, document your findings, design end-to-end experiences, and create prototypes to explain your designs.
Work closely with your design counterparts, PMs, and engineering to foster an exceptional collaborative environment and deliver effective solutions.
Participate in design critique sessions, design jams, and design systems meetings to help improve not only the design but also challenge your peers to keep enhancing their crafts.
