Dynamis is seeking a Facilities Management Specialist to provide facilities management and planning support for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Protective Service (FPS). The Space/Facilities Management Specialist will support management, functional, and technical areas related to the customer’s space and facilities management requirements. Key responsibilities include identifying space and facilities management issues, conducting analysis and assessment of these issues, and providing inputs to major program/project leaders. Work will be performed on-site in the Washington, DC area.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform portfolio data management, project management, and statistical reporting.
  • Create rent analytics, forecasting, and trends.
  • Utilizing GSA Applications (eOA, ROW, etc.) identify rent discrepancies for which the Administrative Support Division (ASD) will request a credit and/or rent schedule modification.
  • Utilize AutoCAD to develop and update space layout and construction drawings.
  • Develop and maintain FPS facility factsheets and files.
  • Conduct site visits to collect space allocation data throughout the FPS space portfolio.
  • Validate space layout, allocation data, and utilization.
  • Validate new space requests utilizing all FPS and DHS policies and guidance.
  • Program Management (in support of Regional FPS).
  • Manage program files via government data sharing and storage solutions.
  • Track and update all Program project services, and planning fund allocations and expenditures. Provide updates to Program Management and ASD budget liaison.
  • Assist in development of project requirements and Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Ensure timely deliverables by monitoring project schedules and milestones.
  • Develop IPT supporting documents and take, verify, and distribute minutes from IPT Meetings.
  • Review floor plans for construction, security, electrical and IT compliance.
  • Conduct site visits during construction, substantial completion and punch list walkthroughs, and requisitions’ funds for change orders.
  • Coordinate and execute all aspects of large moves to include people, furniture, equipment, etc.
  • Collect project requirements from Program Management.
  • Liaise with vendors to generate furniture designs, specifications, cost estimates, and production and installation schedule updates.
  • Generate acquisition support documents.
  • Provide project status updates to Program Management and ASD leadership.

Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain a federal government security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in related work conducting analytical and support activities related to task area.
  • Minimum of six years of project management experience in related work and support activities.
  • Minimum of six years of writing SOW in related work and support activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data.
  • Ability to read and interpret management policy, regulations, and directives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 or higher to include Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work effectively with a group or independently.
  • Ability to effectively manage several tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the General Services Administration (GSA) procurement process and procedures.
