Responsibilities

The Field Service Technician maintains service equipment at Retailer (customer) locations. Responds to dispatches and drives to customer locations within a specified "zone" to deliver supplies and to install, remove, or repair lottery equipment and communication devices.

  • Responsible for transporting, installing (if applicable), and maintaining IGT equipment, replacement parts, tools, and other equipment in an organized and structured manner.
  • Attend driver training and follow IGT vehicle policy regarding the use and maintenance of the company vehicle.
  • The Field Service Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the continuous operation of IGT equipment, ensuring uninterrupted service for our customers.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment to restore it to working order in the field. This may include swapping failed equipment, cleaning it, and minor adjustments to the malfunctioning component.
  • It is essential for the Field Service Technician to communicate effectively and efficiently with Dispatchers, providing accurate reports of activity, arrival and departure times, and promptly sharing details and resolutions of failures.
  • Deliver marketing supplies and consumable parts such as paper, ribbons, bet slips, etc., and track inventory of these items.
  • The Field Service Technician is responsible for delivering basic training to new Retailers or providing refresher/remedial training to those who may be performing procedures incorrectly, such as changing paper and ribbon. This ensures the correct use of equipment and procedures.
  • Complete primary forms for reporting activities, equipment problems, recommendations for procedure improvements, etc.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical or I.T.-related training or education is a plus.
  • 2+ years of electronics, repair, field, or related industry experience.

Skills Required

  • Knowledgeable in electronics, data communications, or related areas of expertise.
  • Must be able to climb, lift, and carry equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Must be able to sit and drive for prolonged periods.
  • Please show skill when working with tools, moving parts, and electrical current.
  • May work at heights for equipment installation, work in close quarters, and be exposed to inclement weather during some installations.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $41,600 - $46,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
