Are you an experienced tabletop RPG designer with the demonstrated ability to craft balanced, unique play experiences and design compelling rules content?

 

We are seeking a Game Designer to work with our design team to create Dungeons & Dragons products. In this role, you’ll help build the future of D&D by developing material for upcoming products. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, can design and write innovative and high-quality RPG material, and hit deadlines, this role is for you. We’re looking for passion and professionalism in equal measure.

What You'll Do:

  • Conceptualize and design substantial portions of D&D products, especially game mechanics, with guidance from project leads.

  • Analyze and incorporate player feedback to create best-in-class RPG content.
  • Help review material for game balance, clarity, consistency—and player enjoyment.
  • Assist in preparing products for publication.
  • Work with project leads and art directors to write art orders.
  • Represent D&D in the larger RPG community through interviews, appearances, articles, etc.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3+ years experience designing RPG products.

  • Expertise in rules design paired with strong analytical skills and long-form writing ability.
  • Proven track record of developing innovative and balanced game mechanics for published RPG products.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong familiarity with Dungeons & Dragons and proficiency in the fifth edition rules.
  • An eye for detail and a dedication to crafting outstanding gaming experiences for players worldwide.
  • Excitement for the future of Dungeons & Dragons.

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

  • Starting Pay Range: $86,695

  • Pay Range End: $145,751

Employees may also be eligible for annual and long-term incentives. In addition, Wizards of the Coast provides a variety of benefits to employees.
