Junior QA Tester

Yakuto is a small, exciting and award winning game studio based in Farringdon, London. We are looking for a Junior QA Tester to join our London studio. 

We are looking for a pro-active, methodical and analytical QA tester to join our London studio. You will be working with our in-house QA team on our mobile sporting titles. 

What will you be doing?

Working to test our games you will have a key role to the success of the studio, ensuring the first rate quality of all Yakuto games. You will have excellent communication skills and pride yourself in your attention to detail. Working in a small fast-paced studio, you must be responsible and self-motivated, managing your own tasks and time effectively and flexibly. 

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

●      Testing all of our games, new releases and updates on multiple mobile platforms

●      Helping to create test cases for new features and games

●      Effectively collaborating with other team members to diagnose issues

●      Writing clear and reproducible bug reports

●      Dealing directly with players to diagnose and reproduce bugs

●      Offering constructive and concise feedback to other departments on gameplay

●      Working within given time-frames 

●      Help in developing, maintaining and improving the testing roadmap

●      Monitoring game statistics, customer feedback channels and competing products to constantly question assumptions and improve our games

●      Make new suggestions for improving testing processes and procedures

What are we looking for?

To be successful in this role you should meet the following criteria:

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:

●      At least 1 year experience as a QA tester ideally on mobile

●      A proven passion for gaming 

●      Proficiency in tracking bugs and managing issue resolution

●      Skilled at writing clear and concise reports

●      Adept at creating well-structured test plans and test cases

●      Strong attention to detail and process orientated 

●      Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal 

●      Ability to self-motivate and working independently

●      Excellent time management skills

●      Excellent organizational skills

●      Ability to perform under pressure and time constraints

●      Technical insight on a wide range of mobile devices

●      Confident communicating with different teams and exploring new approaches

Desirable:

●      Previous experience of using Jira

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING

• Relevant degree is desirable
