Lead 3D Animator

Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead 3D Animator with expertise in Unreal Engine,

After Effects, and 3D modeling to join our dynamic startup team. The ideal candidate will have a

minimum of 3 years of professional experience, including leadership roles, and a proven track

record of creating captivating visual content for games, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality

(AR), or other interactive experiences. As the Lead 3D Animator & Unreal Engine Specialist, you

will not only contribute your creative skills but also lead and mentor a team of animators to

deliver high-quality and innovative projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 3D animators, providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback to ensure the successful execution of projects.
• Collaborate closely with the creative team to develop visual concepts and establish the artistic direction for projects.
• Create and oversee the creation of high-quality 3D animations, characters, and environments using Unreal Engine.
• Utilize After Effects to enhance animations with visual effects, compositing, and motion graphics.
• Implement animations, effects, and interactive elements within Unreal Engine, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.
• Develop and maintain animation blueprints, particle systems, and other Unreal Engine assets.
• Work closely with designers, developers, and other stakeholders to integrate animations and assets seamlessly into projects.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in real-time rendering, game development, and interactive storytelling.
• Drive the innovation and improvement of animation pipelines, workflows, and techniques within the team.
• Represent the animation team in cross-functional meetings, providing insights and recommendations to achieve project goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Animation, Game Design, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a 3D Animator, with leadership or team lead experience.
• Proficiency in Unreal Engine 4, including animation blueprints, level design, and optimization techniques.
• Extensive experience with After Effects for compositing, motion graphics, and visual effects.
• Strong skills in 3D modeling, texturing, and animation, using software such as Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max.
• Previous experience working in a startup environment, demonstrating adaptability, creativity, and a proactive mindset.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Passion for pushing the boundaries of interactive storytelling and creating memorable user experiences.
• Knowledge of additional software and tools related to game development and interactive media

is a plus.
