Job Description

The Legal Counsel will support and optimize legal operations across corporate, international, and contract law. Key responsibilities include drafting and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, providing legal support on corporate law matters, managing contractor agreements, preparing and submitting information related to Controlled Foreign Companies (CFC) reporting, providing legal guidance on GDPR and data privacy, managing intellectual property matters, participating in tax structuring and legal risk assessments, representing the company in interactions with regulatory bodies, and providing legal support for cooperation with App Stores. This role offers the opportunity to influence processes and contribute to a growing game company.
Must have:
  • 4+ years of legal experience, preferably in corporate and international law.
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing contracts in English and Ukrainian.
  • Knowledge of corporate law processes, including company registration.
  • Understanding of CFC compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Confident intermediate level or higher English proficiency.
Good to have:
  • Experience with remote work platforms, such as Deel, is a plus.

We're looking for a Legal Counsel to support and optimize our legal operations across corporate, international, and contract law. You’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance, managing legal risks, and contributing to strategic decisions. At Vira Games, we value independence, initiative, and impact. Requirements: 

• At least 4 years of legal experience, preferably in corporate and international law. 

• Practical experience in drafting and reviewing contracts in both English and Ukrainian. 

• Knowledge of corporate law processes, including company registration, liquidation, and statutory changes. 

• Understanding of CFC (Controlled Foreign Companies) compliance and reporting requirements. 

• Experience with remote work platforms, such as Deel, is a plus. 

• High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a part-time capacity. 

• English — confident intermediate level or higher (for reading, drafting, and communication).

Key Responsibilities: 

• Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including contracts and supplementary agreements for companies, their clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. 

• Providing legal support on corporate law matters, including company formation, liquidation, and amendments to corporate documents. 

• Managing contractor agreements through the Deel platform. 

• Preparing and submitting information related to Controlled Foreign Companies (CFC) reporting. 

• Providing legal guidance on GDPR, data privacy, and other compliance matters 

• Managing intellectual property matters: trademark registrations, copyright protection 

• Participating in tax structuring and legal risk assessments together with the finance team 

• Representing the company in interactions with regulatory bodies, banks, and auditors 

• Legal support for cooperation with App Store (Google Play, Apple App Store etc):
-     Ensuring compliance with platform terms and applicable regulations;

-     Advising on disputes, policy violations, and monetization legal risks.

• Performing other legal support tasks as required by the company.
