Job Summary:
The Manager of Hardware Validation TPM/Sustaining is a critical role within the HP Hybrid Solutions (Poly) team. This position lead team to working with a global design team to understanding the HW specification, developing project level of HW test strategy and test planning for NPI and sustaining phase on videoconferencing products over multiple projects with outsourced development partners and providing ODM/3rd party test execution oversight and direction, execution of test audit, support for critical issue characterization and debug, understanding and maintaining issue tracking through the appropriate records database, and tracking project qualification progress and status for the HP Hybrid Solutions (Poly) product development team and management. Central to the success of this role is the ability to drive execution at ODM/3rd party vendors with aggressive schedules and interface with a multinational team to solve complex technical issues using data-driven decision-making, and experience in delivering mass-produced hardware.
Responsibilities:
Provides direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors developing and executing Hardware Validation Test plan of NPI and sustaining phase for electrical and electronic parts, subsystems, system, eco system.
Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.
Communicates project status and escalates issues to direct managers, program managers, and internal and external development partners.
Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.
Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement.
Provides people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that proper knowledge and career development tools are in place to support ongoing team member and process development.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or other Engineering field.
Typically 12 or more years of related work experience, including 3 years of people management experience will be prefer.
Familiar with Core Validation PCA test structure.
Must familiar with ARM based system product.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of hardware (i.e. SI/PI/EMC..etc)/firmware/software architecture
Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution.
Strong Technical leadership on electronic engineering and its related development , process & tools
Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to manage human capital across geographies to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.
Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies.
Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and Mandarin.
