Google is seeking a Product Manager II to lead the development of a unified gaming experience across multiple platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of game development and a proven track record of taking technical products from conception to launch. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills, along with a passion for creating product solutions that help developers launch and grow PC games. The role involves close collaboration with engineers, designers, and marketers to design and develop technologies that improve access to gaming information.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Experience with game development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience as a mobile or PC game publisher, or working with game publishers.
  • Experience managing cross-product area projects including project management, prioritization, and tracking of deliverables.
  • Knowledge of game technical development and commercial growth needs.
  • Ability to balance execution and strategy.
  • Excellent problem solving, verbal and written communication, and analytical skills.
  • Passion for creating product solutions that help developers launch and grow PC games.

As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define and own a multi-year roadmap for Unified Gaming Experiences that are cohesive and aligned with the web and mobile gaming platform experiences.
  • Partner with UXR to research and understand player motivations and needs around cross-screen gaming experiences.
