Job Description

The Scaled Solutions Engineer at Google's gTech Ads will collect requirements, design, and build global solutions for ad products. Responsibilities include creating reusable solutions and best practices, adapting existing solutions for wider use, and managing the solution lifecycle from discovery to deprecation. The role requires strong engineering skills, experience with web technologies and programming languages, and effective communication with both technical and non-technical audiences. The engineer will work cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams to improve Google's ad products and customer experience, ensuring optimal return on investment for clients.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in related field
3+ years web tech experience
3+ years coding experience
2+ years project delivery experience
Technical troubleshooting skills
Cross-functional team collaboration

Good to have:

MBA or Master's degree
Ad tech product experience
Project management and leadership skills
Data-driven proposal formulation
Excellent communication skills

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of experience working with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
3 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
2 years of experience in delivering technical projects.
Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.
Experience partnering/working with cross-functional teams translating technical concepts and solutions to non-technical audiences.

Preferred qualifications:

MBA or Master's degree in a related technical field.
Experience working with ad tech products - ad server, demand-side platforms, data management platform such as web analytics.
Effective project management, and leadership skills investigative capabilities and demonstrated ability to formulate data-driven proposals.
Excellent written and verbal business communication skills.

Responsibilities

Collect requirements, provide guidance, and best practices to apply to ad products and technologies
Be responsible for proactive scope, design, and build series of solutions and best practices at a global level to be reused by customers, sellers, partners.
Leverage engineer skills to adapt existing bespoke ads solutions created by regional teams into global scaled solutions that can support thousands of customers.
Own solution life cycle from discovery, to launch, handle maintenance bugs and feature requests, as well as deprecation for a portfolio of scaled solutions.
