As part of the Gaming Digital Sales team, the Digital Commercial Marketing team is seeking a Senior Manager, Digital Commercial Marketing. This role will work closely with the Vice President, Digital Commercial Marketing and the full digital sales teams in building global paid digital console storefront marketing strategies, plans to drive digital conversion & engagement within console storefronts across all Activision and Blizzard titles. The successful candidate will be a clear, confident communicator with a passion for delivering flawless marketing executions and a curiosity to consistently optimize our approach and tactics by leveraging the data at hand. This highly visible role will collaborate extensively with internal and external partners, drive strategic insights and navigate ambiguity while executing comprehensive go-to-market plans. In this position, you will work alongside the digital sales teams in driving discussions with Partner ad sales teams to plan and execute premium paid console marketing campaigns, ensure strong paid support for new digital game releases, in-game live events/updates, and digital catalog promotions. 

The successful candidate will have digital marketing or media experience and be detail-oriented with the ability to focus on driving the execution of digital commerce media/marketing strategies and promotional activities. You will assist in driving the development and execution of our global go-to-market plans for our Activision and Blizzard titles. The role also requires financial acumen with strong analytical skills to analyze campaign performance and real time optimization. In addition, this role will be responsible for managing and reporting on the allocated console spending budget by title and by quarter.

How you can make an impact

  • Partner with cross-functional teams and digital sales team to plan, execute and analyze  DSM plans to maximize revenue and engagement across key marketing beats in a high-impact environment

  • Lead the relationship with the Sony and Xbox ad teams, building a strong relationship, being a great partner and unlocking new opportunities

  • Translate data and insights to optimize DSM campaigns to drive engagement, and monetization across all regions and console storefronts

  • Being a collaborative and dependable team player

Core Responsibilities

  • Digital Store Marketing (DSM) Campaign Planning & Execution

    • Work with the digital commercial marketing team in leading title-specific commercial strategies, plans and budgets that encompass the lifecycle of a title -- pre-sell, launch and momentum

      • Brief external first party console teams on title specific merchandising campaigns, including strategic approach, budget, and targeting parameters

      • Digital Store Marketing (DSM) plans cover paid digital console store merchandising (PlayStation Store & Xbox Store)

    • Partner with internal cross functional teams to communicate creative requirements and ensure on-time asset trafficking and builds, including multiple specs and localization (as required)

    • Communicate ad sales policy changes to digital console team to ensure we can communicate any challenges or issues to store & platform contacts

  • Reporting

    • Work with external console teams to advance each platforms’ reporting capabilities to better understand performance and to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of weekly reporting for each beat

    • This position will be integral to understanding campaign performance, particularly in driving ROAS (return on advertising spend)

    • Work closely with the digital commercial marketing team to identify trends and strategies for digital console paid placements, including targeting, creative rotation and estimated spend

    • Maintain up to date console merchandising tracking calendar

    • Assist in the building of Go-To-Market and Investment materials, highlighting key learnings, performance, and recommendations that shape current plans/strategies

    • Budget Planning and Forecasting

    • Track and manage global budgets by beat, communicating any changes needed in a timely manner

    • Ensure all Insertion Orders are routed through internal processes and completed within designated time

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Digital/Channel/Agency Marketing experience 

    • OR Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science or related field AND 4+ years of experience in business or marketing-related roles

    • OR Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field AND 3+ years of experience in business or marketing-related roles

    • OR equivalent practical experience

  • Experience planning and executing digital go to market media campaigns, supporting major product release and/or marketing beats

  • High level of professional integrity, commitment to quality, and respect for a diverse work environment

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in account management, go-to-market planning and strategic analysis

  • Applies strong attention to detail and the ability to lead projects, drive results and effectively manage stakeholders, fostering collaboration, ensuring alignment and navigating complexities to successfully deliver desired outcomes

  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, leveraging data analysis techniques to draw data-driven actionable insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making

  • Possesses experience in experimentation and A/B testing methodologies, using a data-driven approach to design, execute, and analyze experiments, optimizing outcomes and driving continuous improvement

  • Exhibits executive presence to craft and deliver impactful internal and external presentations, engaging diverse audiences to effectively convey complex concepts and insights

  • Possesses experience in the gaming industry or an ability to exhibit a deep understanding of the gaming industry from personal experience

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $105,120.00 - $194,400.00 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
