About the team

As part of the Promotions team, you will be working with a group of talented and friendly individuals. Our goal is to provide our users with the best possible experience when it comes to sports betting on our platform. We take care in our craft by using tools that help us keep a high standard of quality within our codebase and application. Our team isn’t just about writing new features, but writing tests to ensure app stability and using monitoring tools so that each user is having a seamless experience. We’re also a team that enjoys learning and sharing knowledge. We like to keep our documentation up to date and take time out of our day to learn new technologies. We’d hope that working with our team you’ll help drive our product to greater heights.

About the work

As a Technical Product Manager you will:

Typical Work Day at Penn Interactive :

  • Lead the full product & platform lifecycle – from ideation, design, requirements definition, through to delivery – collaborating with teams across the organization.
  • Drive large and complex technical initiatives across teams of world-class developers.
  • Lead day-to-day operations of the team, using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Deliver value to the product development teams through internal tooling, education, and documentation.
  • Coordinate release cycle of internal tools and manage cross team dependencies.
  • Other duties as required.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in product management in a technical environment.
  • Background in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related technical field.
  • Have an understanding of the various components in a backend system, including microservices, databases, and messaging systems.
  • Experience communicating to both engineering and business stakeholders, and across diverse cultures, work styles, and personalities.
  • Experience creating technical diagrams, authoring technical requirements and product roadmaps.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to present work to executive staff.
  • Outstanding written/oral, organizational, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles.
  • Must be a self-starter, a team player, and able to operate autonomously.

Nice to haves:

  • Previous start-up, consumer mobile and/or consulting experience is a strong asset.
  • Experience with Cloud platforms (Google, AWS) and monitoring tools like DataDog, Splunk, and Prometheus.
  • Hands on experience with programming or server management.
