This is a key role in developing our data lake by bridging the gap between our data engineer and our data scientists as well as ensuring that our data is timely, easy to work with and trusted across the company.
What you'll do

Clean and transform data for analytical use:
- Develop and implement processes to extract, clean, and transform data from various sources to ensure it is ready for analysis.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and provide them with reliable datasets.
- Design and implement data models and aggregated history tables for all major KPI’s and user history.

Maintain data documentation and definitions:
- Create and maintain comprehensive data documentation, including data dictionaries, schemas, and metadata.
- Ensure that data definitions are consistent and easily accessible to all stakeholders.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability:
- Implement automated data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
- Monitor data pipelines and systems to ensure high availability and performance alongside our data engineer.
- Help the game teams and analysts in designing the events that our games log as well as their associated triggers

Share best practices across the organization:
- Promote a culture of data excellence by sharing best practices and providing training.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and analytics and share knowledge with the team.
- Write efficient, maintainable, and scalable analytics code using best practices.
- Conduct code and SQL reviews and provide feedback to ensure high standards of code quality within the team.

Who you are

- Proven experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Architect, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling tools and techniques.
- Experience with ETL processes and tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, DBT etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure). GCP is a big plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of the gaming industry is a plus.
