Playtech‘s Security unit is looking for a proactive Application Security Engineer with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.  

Your influential mission. You...  

• Collaborate with product managers and owners to pinpoint features and components needing security analysis.
• Conduct code reviews, both manually and automatically, with software engineers to ensure adherence to security standards.
• Propose security use cases based on requirements to QA engineers, ensuring thorough verification of features.
• Drive the automation of security processes by implementing tools and technologies such as SAST, DAST, and Open Source Security.
• Report on the security posture of development teams and identify subsequent action items.
• Assist in investigating and responding to security incidents, analyzing root causes, and implementing preventive measures.

Components for success. You... 

• Have 2+ years of IT Security experience, preferably with a background in application/product security.
• Possess experience and knowledge of security frameworks such as OWASP and ISO 27001 Annex A.14.
• Work with application security tools including SAST, OSS, DAST, and Threat Modeling.
• Have a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and security practices.
• Have working knowledge of major software languages, which is an advantage.
• Bring previous experience as a software developer, which is a strong advantage.
• Have experience working with a remote global team and possess solid English skills, both verbal and written.
