Job Description

As a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer at Google Cloud, you will be instrumental in driving data-driven decision-making. You will design, develop, and implement BI solutions providing insights to leadership. This involves architecting data marts, constructing efficient data pipelines, and automating reporting processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions supporting growth objectives. Responsibilities include partnering with stakeholders to define KPIs, developing data infrastructure (SQL scripts, datasets, models, dashboards), transforming data into insights via data models and automated reporting, and leading projects from conception to delivery. The role requires expertise in BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI), SQL, and data modeling, with preferred experience in scripting languages (Python, Go, etc.) and cloud-based data platforms.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
4+ years data modeling/visualization experience
SQL query writing proficiency
BI tool experience (Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
Data infrastructure development
Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Good to have:

MBA or Master's degree
Scripting experience (Python, Go, etc.)
Cloud platform experience
Data-driven business operations support
Communication skills (technical & non-technical)
Knowledge of statistical modeling/ML

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience in data modeling, developing data sets, or creating data visualizations.
Experience writing SQL queries.
Experience using Business Intelligence (BI) tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI to create visualizations and dashboards.

Preferred qualifications:

MBA, Master's degree, or advanced degree in a technical or scientific field of study.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Go, JavaScript, or HTML for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.
Experience in cloud-based data platforms and related BI services.
Experience supporting data-driven business operations, consulting, or program management and strategic cross-functional BI initiatives in a cloud business.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Knowledge of statistical modeling, Machine Learning (ML), or data mining techniques.

Partner with stakeholders to define and gather requirements for building Key Performance Indicator (KPI) frameworks that track business and measure the success of key business strategies.
Develop data infrastructure, which includes building SQL scripts, creating data sets, crafting investigative models, and designing user-friendly dashboards.
Transform data into insights by developing data models, data marts, and automating reporting processes to provide leadership with a clear picture of key business and process performance.
Lead assigned projects from conceptualization to delivery and ensure data solutions offer high-quality data and insights to propel the growth of the business.
