About the Role:
 
We are looking for a teammate in our IT Department as Senior IT Technician located in Guadalajara, Mexico, who will help support and maintain the computer systems and equipment of the organisation, ensuring they run smoothly.
 
The Quest:
 
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
  • Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance work.
  • Setting up and maintaining accounts for staff.
  • Troubleshooting issues reported by staff.
  • Checking computer equipment for electrical safety.
  • Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults.
  • Repairing equipment and replacing parts.
  • Managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies.
  • Maintaining records of software licences.
 
The Skills:
 
  • At least 3-year experience in Tech support.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (LAN/WAN), switching & routing.
  • Knowledge of server administration and operations.
  • Strong technical, logical, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer hardware and software
    • Linux/Unix is a plus.
    • VMware is a plus.
    • Windows Server is a plus.
    • MacOS is a plus.

  • Patient, meticulous and methodical nature.
  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility. 
  • Understanding of business needs and priorities.
