Job Description
As a Senior IT Technician at Amber in Guadalajara, Mexico, you will support and maintain the organization's computer systems and equipment. Responsibilities include installing and configuring hardware and software, performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting issues, ensuring electrical safety, repairing equipment, managing stock, and maintaining software licenses. This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication in English. You'll work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Must have:
- 3+ years Tech support experience
- Strong English communication
- Networking knowledge (LAN/WAN)
- Server administration knowledge
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

About the Role:
We are looking for a teammate in our IT Department as Senior IT Technician located in Guadalajara, Mexico, who will help support and maintain the computer systems and equipment of the organisation, ensuring they run smoothly.
The Quest:
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
- Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance work.
- Setting up and maintaining accounts for staff.
- Troubleshooting issues reported by staff.
- Checking computer equipment for electrical safety.
- Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults.
- Repairing equipment and replacing parts.
- Managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies.
- Maintaining records of software licences.
The Skills:
- At least 3-year experience in Tech support.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of networking concepts (LAN/WAN), switching & routing.
- Knowledge of server administration and operations.
- Strong technical, logical, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Computer hardware and software
- Linux/Unix is a plus.
- VMware is a plus.
- Windows Server is a plus.
- MacOS is a plus.
