WB Games Boston is looking for an experienced UI Artist to help drive the product vision through interactive design as we endeavor to create the next generation strategy games. You’ll be partnering with creative developers to help create a style and visual language for the next generation of mobile gaming user interfaces.

  • Create high-fidelity mock-ups based on art guidelines and best practices of graphic design and user experience.
  • Advise and contribute to the creation of design systems and style guides.
  • Interpret wireframes and other supporting UX documentation to bring ideas to life.
  • Bring vibrancy to the user interface through player interactions, animations and unexpectedly delightful experiences.
  • Collaborate with designers, producers, engineers and QA in addition to the art team.

Requirements:

  • An outstanding portfolio that demonstrates your ability to design world class experiences.  Please include links to your work.
  • Understanding of the principles of graphic design, typography, color theory and user experience.
  • Attention to detail and understanding of what a highly polished experience entails.
  • Good time-management and organization skills.
  • The ability to talk about design and how design decisions are formed with peers.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Unity’s UI tools, as well as a broader understanding of Unity in general.
  • Experience with optimizing art assets for optimal performance while maintaining image fidelity.
  • Experience in other areas of game development.
  • Passions and hobbies beyond UI/UX design that provide you a fresh perspective when looking at different challenges.
