Job Description:
LCH SA IT is looking for an Cloud Architect profile to contribute to the cloud strategy and roadmap.
The Cloud Architect designs and implements information systems to support the LCH SA enterprise infrastructure. He ensures that all systems are working at optimal levels and supports the development of new technologies and system requirements.
He is responsible to look into the implementation and transition to an operational service. He takes care of complete detail analysis of architecture design and security standards.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of the Cloud Architect revolve around performing research and assessments to identify company needs, evaluate existing systems to determine their strengths and weaknesses, and present recommendations to senior management. Furthermore, the Cloud Architect must spearhead the integration and innovation of systems and technologies, all while adhering to the company's policies and regulations.
To accomplish his core duty of designing and implementing complex computer systems, Cloud Architect is responsible for many tasks:
Analyse System Requirements
The Cloud Architect analyses existing systems to ensure they offer adequate security and are effectively meeting the needs of the organization. He coordinates with all areas of the organization to see that the system is working as optimally as it should. He also analyses business requirements to identify where he can integrate new cloud solutions.
He analyses system requirements and defines system architecture that will meet business needs, including server infrastructure, capacity planning, storage requirements, and networking protocols. He ensures that architecture project roll-outs meet security standards and be effectively integrated with current applications.
Recommend Alternative Technologies and Improvements
Based on his knowledge of IT and his analysis of the systems’ needs, the Cloud Architect may recommend alternative technologies or improvements to enhance information systems to support organizational goals. These recommendations are presented clearly and understandably to senior management.
Lead Design and Review of New Systems
The Cloud Architect leads the design and reviews processes for new systems. He develops and documents the proposed technical design for the integration and implementation of any new software, working across the IT department.
Evaluate Projects
After a new system has been integrated, the Cloud Architect participates in evaluating the success of the project, identifying best practices and lessons learned. He provides feedback to leadership and incorporates this information into future integration plans.
